Styring Vineyards was established in 2003 by the dynamic duo, Steve and Kelley Styring! The Styring name is Viking in origin and from “Styr the Strong.” The couple purchased a 40-acre parcel of unfarmed land in the Ribbon Ridge AVA, in the upper Willamette Valley and the rest was history in the making. The Styring’s principle is to produce small productions of hand-crafted Pinot Noir, Riesling and other varietals that speak to them, with an authenticity you can taste! Half of the Styring’s acreage is devoted to the area’s first inhabitants: owls, hawks, foxes, frogs and other critters. The other half of the the property is where they’ve raised their family, grown beautiful grapes and produced uncompromised wines. The Ribbon Ridge AVA boasts both Willakenzie and ancient marine sedimentary soil which are particularly suited to grow some of the finest Pinot Noir in the world…which the Styring’s do without a doubt! The family planted much of their acreage with Pinot Noir grapes and a small amount of Riesling and Muscat grapes. The Muscat is just for eating because they are simply delicious and the Riesling is what goes into their “Whimsy,” a crisp, dry style wine and the “Afterglow,” which is more of a dessert wine. The Styring’s also love try new things that inspire them, and were clever enough to source Cabernet and Petit Verdot grapes from the Columbia Valley to produce their epics; “Shameless,” and “Reckless.” We love Styring Vineyards and are incredibly proud to bring our guests there to experience and share in the dream that was ignited to WOW on all levels! From their amazing wines, unbelievable views, service with a smile and loads of great stories…they never disappoint!! Our current favorites | RIXI Vintage Brut | 2014 WIT Reserve Estate Pinot Noir.
